What you will be doing

You will work, where we will involve you in unique and complex projects on board immense luxury super yachts. Here you will do preparatory work, and then implement it all on board the yachts. Of course, you will not do everything on your own; you will become part of an enthusiastic and dedicated team of colleagues who specialise in AVIT and you will be active in the projects from the start, right through to delivery. Thus, you will experience the entire process in the realisation of the yachts.

This role in a nutshell:

Preparations
Even before you go on board, you will collaborate in starting up the production process.

Getting things done
You will give the hands-on implementation of the equipment on board, together with the support of fellow AVIT field engineers.

Planning
You will oversee the planning together with the shipyard and project leader, including identifying the material requirements for the production process and coordinating the distribution of the hardware.

Monitoring
You keep a close eye on the process and progress of the planning made, any abnormalities you notice immediately.

Reporting
You report to the project manager on progress, milestones achieved and if any abnormalities occur.

Communications
At the project-related production meetings, you will have a seat at the table and act as the contact person on board the yachts.

Salary
€3200 - €3800 based on full-time employment.

CLA
You enjoy the terms of employment according to the Dutch Collective Labour Agreement for the Metal and Engineering Industry.

Pension
For your future, you will build up a pension with a scheme via the PMT.

Free time
Per year, you get 25 days off and another 13 ADV based on full-time employment.

Who you are

You have experience in installing various systems, and know how to work with your colleagues and other subcontractors. In your set of skills, you can think critically and analytically to ensure high levels of quality. And provided that you also have leadership skills, you will be given the opportunity to take Junior field engineers under your wing as well.

What you need for this role:
  • A diploma of a MBO-4 level (or higher) in electrical engineering or similar;
  • Knowledge of the latest AV&IT systems and components;
  • You can read and understand technical drawings (E-Plan & Visio);
  • Knowledge of the best connection techniques (CAT7 LAN connectors, inputs and outputs, IR conversion, HDMI converters, etc.)
  • Communication skills in both the Dutch, and English language in word and writing;
