What you will be doing

As the Technical Project Manager, you will work closely with an international team of Engineers and take care of the planning, budget, and technical delivery of a vessel. You are in daily contact with the customers' technical team and organise FATs and HATs. You are also regularly present on site at the customer's worksites, and in the commissioning stage you are the point of contact for technical issues.

This role in a nutshell:

Leading
You functionally manage a team of engineers in order to work as efficiently as possible.

Supervise
You assist your colleagues who are involved in the projects. In this way, you form the link between procurement, supply chain, the work planners, production and the certificating organisation.

Getting things done
You have a decisive role over the engineering work in projects, but you also make sure that everyone stays within the framework of customer wishes and requirements and the project plan.

Planning
You will provide the planning on the required engineering hours and associated deliverables, make arrangements with regulating authorities and suppliers, and will coordinate this with the client.

Consulting
In well as the team lead, you advise other stakeholders within the project environment.

Report
For your assigned project(s), you draft the system requirements and technical specifications. You also contribute to the publication of periodic reports on the progress and hours budget. Additionally, you make offers for changes in the project, resulting in increased or decreased work.

Communicate
You are a point of contact for all kinds of stakeholders, both internal and external. This includes the customer, project team, suppliers, and others.

Salary
€ 4000 - € 7400 based on full-time employment.

Developments
Through personal training and what you want to develop yourself further in, we will help you achieve this. There are various training programmes within Alewijnse itself, where you can choose to develop yourself further into, for instance, a Technical Specialist or Project Management.

CLA
You enjoy the terms of employment according to the Dutch Collective Labour Agreement for the Metal and Engineering Industry.

Who you are

You have experience in a managing role on large-scale and long-term projects. With a pragmatic attitude, you are proficient in working together with colleagues to bring everything together into an efficient collaboration. You enjoy taking on a technical challenge and you have good organisational skills. Being on the road regularly to be present at customers' locations ensures that you actually see the results of your work with your team.

What you need for this role:
  • A technical BSc degree;
  • Communication skills in both Dutch and English;
  • Boldness and decisiveness to make choices and take the lead in these matters;
  • Ensuring quality and safety management standards, rules, procedures, and processes;
  • Organisational skills.
