Baltic 175 Pink Gin
On the Baltic 175 Pink Gin, a spectacular and innovative silver-hulled sloop, Alewijnse carried out the complete electrical and automation scope.
The largest carbon fibre sloop in the world
The sloop was launched in July 2017 after a complex build programme at Baltic Yachts, defined by precision engineering and exceptional craftsmanship. At the time of her launch, Pink Gin was the largest carbon-fibre sloop in the world. Carbon fibre’s remarkable strength and lightweight properties allow a yacht of this size to remain both fast and highly efficient.
This sailing yacht also features some of the most advanced innovations seen on a sailing yacht, including two opening balconies integrated into the topsides, Baltic Yachts’ revolutionary Force Feedback Steering System, and an 18-ton carbon-composite hull and deck shell built to an exceptional level of accuracy.
The electrical and automation systems were designed and installed by Tijssen Elektro, now part of Alewijnse. From engineering and electrical installation to switchboards, alarm and monitoring & control systems, plus power and lighting management, the team delivered excellence at every step.
