Alewijnse presents technology of the future at Europort 2021
Systems integrator Alewijnse will present technology of the future in a changing maritime world during Europort, from 2 to 5 November 2021 in Ahoy Rotterdam.
Within the theme #WeConnectToTheFuture, the company will introduce the latest trends in electrical engineering and automation within the themes that are vital to our maritime ecosystem: digitalisation, energy transition and next generation.

AlViVi
One of the latest applications that Alewijnse has developed together with clients and partners is the unique Alewijnse virtualisation & visualisation (AlViVi) platform. Alewijnse is market leader with this fast and flexible platform consisting of several virtualised process-related systems that replaces most of the computer equipment on board, saving a lot of space and money. AlViVi has been successfully installed on a large number of trailing suction hopper dredgers, and the solution can also be implemented on other vessel classes and industrial plants.
Visitors to the Europort exhibition will have the opportunity to experience this smart digital solution at Alewijnse's stand (1307), using the latest solutions of our partners Stratus and Rockwell Automation.
There will also be an opportunity to attend an AlViVi presentation during the Europort Innovation Stage on digitalisation and smart technology, taking place in Hall 4 on Tuesday, November 2, from 17:00 to 17:45.
Simulations and digital twins
In the stylish stand at the show, dedicated to our mission WeConnect, we will connect this innovation with other future-oriented solutions, such as the latest simulation applications that Alewijnse and Tree C Technology are jointly developing for the maritime manufacturing industry. Simulations and digital twins are revolutionising the manufacturing industry. The technology is there, and the development in the maritime field is in progress.
Alewijnse and Tree C are leading the way by jointly offering an innovative, advanced, full physics based digital twin application that can simulate the working environment and equipment of vessels, optimising each phase of the life cycle. They make it possible to design and produce more efficiently, to optimise training and facilitate better maintenance and service, thus greatly improving the performance of systems and saving customers time and money.
At the Alewijnse stand, visitors can get a foretaste of this latest solution in simulation and digitalisation by virtually boarding a dredging vessel and individually controlling the equipment.
