Reaching out to the engineers of tomorrow
With the global race to remain at the forefront of technology growing ever faster, the industrial base of the Netherlands has an urgent need for good engineering staff at all levels, but most specifically for highly educated employees who have the skills necessary to tackle the most complex projects. To address this need, companies and municipalities in the Dutch region of Krimpen aan den IJssel have joined forces to create the ‘Technical Adventure’ project. This is designed to encourage young people to choose a technical profession and, as part of this, Alewijnse and other participating companies are giving talks and demonstrations at local elementary schools and also opening the doors of their facilities to the public on June 30th.
