Visitors to SMM Hamburg, taking place from 4-7 September 2018 at the Hamburger Messe, are invited to join the Alewijnse Marine team on stand 125 in Hall B6. There they will be sharing their expertise covering the latest smart developments in system integration, electrical installations, automation, hybrid solutions, IT/ICT and NavCom.
The company will be bringing its philosophy of smart shipping to the show. The maritime industry increasingly demands smart technologies to make vessels safer, more sustainable and more efficient. Alewijnse is responding to this by offering solutions for the best-possible onboard information security, remote servicing for real-time exchange of system information from a distance and preventive maintenance, a new Alewijnse concept that is already delivering higher cost-savings and less downtime via proactive preventive maintenance to vessels’ electrical systems.
Smart dredge automation solutions
Visitors to the Alewijnse stand at SMM will also be able to find more about Alewijnse´s smart and reliable Dredge Automation Systems. These solutions are unique to Alewijnse and are designed to deliver the safest and most efficient dredging operations in the market with maximum uptime. Visitors to the stand will be able to view a 3D simulation of the Alewijnse Dredge Automation Systems on a console by using the Vuforia AR app, developed by Alewijnse and Novotek, that will also allow users to overlay key IoT and enterprise systems data. This is the first time in the maritime industry that augmented reality has been used to demonstrate a real product in this way.
