July 3th 2009- Barkmeijer vesssel baptized

On July 3th a dry cargo vessel was baptized on Barkmeijer Shipyard in Stroobos, The Netherlands. This vessel, with the name ‘Marietje Andrea’ has – as a result of the restrictions of this yard- a moulded breadth of 15,20 metres. The growth can be found in the length of 126 metres, with a load capacity of 8200 Tons. Because of this length, this dry cargo vessel is perfectly capable of transporting for example windmills or offshore constructions. The Marietje Andrea is the First vessel of a series of 20 Barkmeijer vessels, built for the business combination of owners Wagenborg/Danser in Delfzijl, The Netherlands. The vessel will be finished-off in Lemmer.
