November 2009 - On 18 November last Alewijnse became a member of ‘The Offensive Accessibility’. In the town region Arnhem Nijmegen employers, governments and organisations of employees and employers cooperate in this ‘Offensive’.They choose expressively for a common approach in the action against the traffic-jams and delays on the road.

Realisation and behaviour change are the most important subjects. With smart work and smart travelling we can reach a better accessibility, an economically vital region and a viable living and working area.

As a large employer in the region Alewijnse has the social duty to contribute to the improvement of the accessibility in our region

From this point of view we have signed the convenant and we have already linked the first consequences to this. Recently we decided to give the flextime test (to work flexible in certain block-systems) for the Nijmeegse companies a more definite character. In the future more action will follow, so we can work and travel smart!
