Hopper dredger Andre.L comprises innovative engineering

Barkmeijer Shipyards often gets clients with very specific wishes for their ships. Their client DTM wished ‘a complete new energy concept for its newest dredging vessel and, at the same time, a unique, custom-made engine concept for cases of emergency’. Alewijnse executed a custom-made new engineering concept for DTM’s Andre L. with a minimum of diesel engines.
