M.T.S. ‘Alie-Jan’: advice and expertise in chemical tankers

Within the Inland shipping market segment, tankers are an object of speciality. Being an experienced partner of Bodewes, Alewijnse delivered a complete package of electrical installation and additional technical systems for the Damen River Tanker 950. With a total capacity of 1890 m3, this inland tanker contains five cargo tanks. Two 125 Kw cargo pumps were installed for (un)loading, empowered by a generator of 450 kVA via separate converters. The generator also feeds the electric motor of 330kW bow thrusters. For onboard systems, two generators and shore power have been placed.
